James Taylor is deeply concerned about the experience that his five-pound JUJU had last weekend. Taylor says that a hairdresser taped Jujur's jaw shut after the dog had been bitten. As a result, Jujur became bloody and upset.

Taylor said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Jujur's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."


Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.

James rushed Juju to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.

James described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so deep that they caused blood to flow."

Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. Another customer took a Snapchat of a dog appearing to be in pain. They claimed that a groomer inserted an ear napkin by force.

Puppy Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. James shared, "Jonny informed me that taping animal abuse crime the mouth shut is a normal and acceptable method, claiming it is preferable to using a muzzle, which he believes can be harmful to dogs. He said that he uses the method himself on his dogs.

Fox called Puppylux, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. She quickly responded that Puppy Lux was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
